FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Real answers. Honest guidance. No gatekeeping.
How far in advance should I shop for my gown?
We recommend that you begin shopping for your dress at least 9-12 months before your wedding, as it can take up to 6 months for your gown to arrive. We also suggest giving yourself an extra 8-10 weeks for alterations leading up to your wedding date.
Do I need an appointment to visit Ivory?
Ivory Bridal operates on a by appointment basis only. By booking an appointment, we can focus on providing a personal and exceptional bridal experience. Looking for inspiration? Check out our Instagram page.
How long is an appointment?
Our private one-on-one bridal appointments are an hour and a half. Should you need more than an hour and a half, feel free to shoot us an email or give us a call.
What size are your samples?
Each sample gown varies by designer. The majority of our samples are a size 8-24 but your custom gown can be ordered up to a size 30 with most designers. We will pin you in each gown so you'll get the best idea of what your gown will look like in your size.
How many guests can I bring to my appointment?
To preserve the intimacy of your experience, we kindly ask that you bring no more than 4 guests. This keeps the focus on you - and allows the moment to feel as meaningful and memorable as it should.
Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?
We recommend bringing undergarments that make you feel your best - like a strapless bra, nipple covers, or shapewear if you prefer (though none are required). If possible, wear shoes close to the height you plan to wear on your wedding day, and keep your makeup light. A hair clip or tie is helpful to keep hair off your shoulders when trying on gowns.
Please avoid self-tanner or spray tans before your appointment, as they can transfer onto the gowns and affect the experience for future brides.
Do you offer any payment plans on orders/purchases?
Yes. We've partnered with Affirm to offer flexible monthly payment plans - often with 0% interest for qualified brides. It's our way of helping you say yes to your dream gown, without the pressure. Want help getting started? Just ask - we're happy to walk you through it before or during your appointment.
